Katie Hill is Executive Director for B Lab UK, the organisation tasked with rolling out the B Corporation movement across the UK. This exciting role follows on from her work in helping with the creation of a social investment marketplace in the UK, through her work establishing Access – the Foundation for Social investment, (a new sister organisation to Big Society Capital) and as Advisor to the City of London Corporation, to establish its  first social investment fund. She has worked as an economist in UK local, regional and national government and supported the governments of Lithuania and Poland with employment strategies as they acceded to the EU. Katie ran a social enterprise in Bulgaria for four years and, on the basis of that experience, studied for an MBA from Oxford University. She was appointed on to the EU panel of experts on Social Business, was on the G8 working group for Social Investment and has written and commissioned various research papers on the topic of social investment.
